Never leave me
Walk close beside me
Your hand my hand
Fits so easy
No tomorrow
Let us stop here
We did great so great things
Oooh, didn't we
Dry and Dusty
I am a capsule of energy
You speak softly
We are capsules of energy
Work as I've been told
In return I get money
Small feet in the hall
And I long for every moment
Dry and Dusty
I am a capsule of energy
You speak softly
We are capsules of energy

Bad habit: googling yourself just to see what happens... It is very time consuming and not really useful but anyway, I like to do that from time to time just to see how easy it is for people to find informations about me. More importantly, I like to know which kind of informations they can get access to.
Well, with facebook there's no fun at all in doing that... fb's answers are filling several pages in a row :( In a way, it is quite good, because the average Internet user will not go any further and discover too much about me (not that there is anything out there on the web that I would like to hide). In another, it's getting way too easy as well since (almost) everything is there... so I have been wondering if changing the security settings would imply some modifications in Google results pages...
So from time to time, I also google my nicknames (yeah I have several of them...) just for fun. And very seldom, I google some URLs or emails that I use... well I can say that I have absolutely no impact howsoever on the Internet. Well, that's totally OK for me since I am mostly uninteresting and not trying to change anything about it :D
Today, I wanted to check if "anything uninteresting" was actually grammatically correct and so I googled it (I'm totally aware that this is NOT a good way to check, but it's the fastest and the accuracy of this method is actually quite good)... and well, I'm the first result on the first page (yeay for what it's worth!). What's even more interesting is that the second result is in fact another blog with the exact same title. "Gah! I think I have been using the same one as someone else... Could it be that I saw it someday and used it later on?".
A MeLu is a pretty curious being and so she clicks on the link and discovers that this other blog was in fact created a couple of months after mine. But I have to say that both of our blogs are quite amazingly similar in the uninteresting level and the very few posts as well XD
So, to you who are not blogging more than me and whose life seems to be as uninteresting as me, I will throw this single word: HI!

I received some questions about the ingredients of the bechamel sauce recipe from a previous post and I think the main problem is understanding what Maizena is. At first, it's product created in 1862 in the United States of America by the Duryea brothers. Now it's also the name of a brand (bought later on by Unilever) and their main product as well.
It basically is cornflour (or cornstarch depending on where you live) coming from the corn (also called maize: that's where the name come from) grain. For those who are wondering, it I read that it is gluten-free.
It is used as a thickening agent in soups and liquids. As the starch is heated by the liquid, the molecule chains unravel, allowing them to collide with other starch chains to form a mesh - thus slowing the movement of water molecules. This results in thickening of the liquid, be it soup, stock or other culinary liquids. (@Wikipedia)
The bechamel sauce is usually made with regular flour but the form with cornstarch is easier and faster to do, tastes exactly the same and quite not as stuffing... there only are advantages of using this version and you don't have to be a chef to make it. Making bechamel sauce is very common in France, but you will have quite some success by using it abroad with lasagne or even croque-monsieur. The main point is to exactly follow the recipe in my previous post so that the chemical reaction works ;)
As a conclusion, there's a super cool Youtube video I just discover while searching for information about Maizena... Yeah, it's in Spanish but there's no need to understand what they're saying. For the scientists, cornflour has the properties of a non-newtonian fluid, which is why it easily giving gentle pressure but resisting sudden pressure.

Just received it today and I'm soooooo happy.
Of course it's a basic and tiny one. Of course I have troubles to use it for now.
But well, I like it very much =^^=
I think I'll do it the MeLu's way: replacing the mouse by the stylus tablet... definately difficult but pretty good training XD

Ingredients:
- Milk: 50cL;
- Butter: 40g;
- Maïzena: 4 table spoon;
- Salt & pepper.
Warm up around 2/3rd of the milk in a saucepan. Add the butter cut in small pieces.
During that time, pour the rest of the milk in a glass and stir the Maïzena with it.
When the milk is about to boil, lower the fire, add the mélange and whisk for a couple of minutes. It should get “solid” very quickly.
You can add then the salt and pepper.
Depending on what you’re doing you can also add some nutmeg powder, a table spoon of mustard or even some tomato sauce.

After such a loooooooong leave, I won’t be presenting excuses, and of course, I’ll treat you with a totally boring and un-original subject today: one of my favourite applications on Facebook!
As the title says, the goal of “Compare People” is well, to compare people (in here, ‘people’ means ‘your facebook friends’) in a really simple way. This only works if you know your contacts, otherwise how would you know “who is cooler”, “who is more adventurous”, “who can drink more”, “who is a better dancer” or even better “who would I rather sleep with”…
Of course, trying all of these options with your friends is not mandatory to answer (well, otherwise… that’s your choice), especially if ~ like mine ~ they’re living on at least 3 different continents! And if you don’t know or don’t want to answer, there’s still the pretty useful “SKIP” option. Lately, they even added something nice: to choose whether or not the person you’re voting for is going to be informed of your choice. That might be interesting if you’d rather sleep with your best friend instead of your boyfriend/girlfriend, right?
Here’s how it looks:
Note: In case you’re one of my facebook contacts AND one of this *few* blog’s readers AND you recognize your own blurred picture/name on the screenshot… well just take it’s highly probable that no one you know will ever do the same. And in case you still wonder “who can drink more”, well I don’t know!
But since I’m only interested in myself, there’s another feature I wanted to talk ~ and comment ~ about: the “Where do I fit” one!
It displays on your profile your best rankings amongst your friends… which is usually funny, given how you look at it. Per example, here’s mine:
My best feature is apparently my good taste about music… that’s what I’ve been telling people for years, and they finally realized it! I still have to outrank two friends on that, but that doesn’t look that difficult, right?
Then, the awkward results: what do ranks 5, 6 or 7 mean? I never found out how to take the “#6most entertaining” or “#7 merriest”… how would you? The most interesting is that I seem to sing better than I organize. That pretty much let me confused as I always thought the contrary. There are also people who might seem to think that I’ll do great on a desert island: I wonder if it’s because I’d make a good distraction by talking all the time… or maybe it goes with the “best mother (potential)”, in order to start a new civilization and then take up the world? And apparently, I’m gaining some ranks about that (as you can see below the current results) so I’ll have to give it some serious thoughts.
Can you see the “more >>” link on the bottom? It redirect you to a page where you can get (1) the complete list of your rankings and (2) details on how you got this particular rank. It might be a bit deceptive for narcissistic ones:
That’s not so difficult to understand, eh? There’s the rank, then the category, the amount of people who got the question with your profile as a choice, the amount of time you were ‘chosen’ and then the percentage that makes.
Well… I do now realize that not a lot of people think I’d make a better mother (only one… must be boyfriend, for sure) and that not a lot of people actually voted on these categories.
Let’s try the end of the list:
Honestly, how could people think I’m the least talkative one?

Waw, this thing that some random cat sent me totally fits here…
If in mathematics, - and - results in a +, does it mean that “six uninteresting facts” in “anything uninteresting” results in “some interesting stuff”?
So, what is this “six uninteresting facts about me” about?
- Give the URL of the blog this ‘game’ comes from (done);
- Write 6 uninteresting facts about you (see below);
- Explain the ‘game’ (what do you think I’m doing?);
- Send it to six other bloggers (ehhh… who’s left for that?);
- Notify those “lucky” persons about it.
And now, let’s see what’s totally uninteresting about me:
- To start with, this blog of course! And all that I’m talking about here. As I said before, it’s the perfect place (cf. the title for those who didn’t saw it already…);
- My recent but yet complete addiction to Asian drama (mostly Japanese and Korean but even some Taiwanese) and the amount of people I’m trying to convert…
- The fact that I really don’t like my food to be stirred (it totally changes the consistency, the taste and even the temperature… yerg!);
- That there was a black-out in the village yesterday evening, so that we spent more than 6 hours in the dark, the cold and more important, without internet!
- The ∞Eito Rangers∞ are my heroes (see also there)!
- And most likely that I’m only going to pass it to 4 other bloggers because all of the others already did it…
Here they are:
- Aline (fr) who might finally write something new…
- Shiyan (fr/en) for whom I’m sorry in advance;
- Strelitzia (fr) who might not have received an invitation from anyone yet (and to tell her I like her blog even though I send a lot of stupid comments);
- Minimarie (fr), because I hope to be able to read from her again.
And now, I’m going to tell them how “lucky” they are, huhuhuhuhu!

Really?
Hehe, don’t feel relieved so fast, my dear… What are you going to say first? You might want to try one of these solutions:
Your life
Hi, my nickname is MeLu (well I wouldn’t give you my real name), I’m a girl (just in case you wouldn’t have guessed from the layout, the picture and the nickname). I’m 23 years old (who cares) and from France (that explains the bad English), unemployed at the moment (I’m sure you’re totally excited about that fact).
Your blog-to-come
Hi, this is my third blog (= not able to hold on something for too long) and I’m going to update it frequently (even though this is not going to last), so please read it (what else were you here for, except reading?) and leave me your comments (just know that if they don’t please me I will delete them).
Your previous blog
Once upon a time, I had another blog which I don’t update anymore for various reasons you don’t need to know (= I’m too lazy to do so), so I’m starting a new one (yeah, this is the most stupid reason I could think about)!
Your hobbies
I have a lot of hobbies: music, books, boyfriend, my cat (please notice that none of them is common at all)!
Nothing
Here’s my blog! Yay!
As for me, I just finished downloading Honey & Clover 9 (JDrama) so I’m gonna let you decide if anything I said is true while I’m watching it. And maybe I’ll talk about it later.
For those who wonder what the hell I going to talk about here, I don’t have any answer (no idea myself), so I guess you’ll have to come back to figure out!
Oh and if you think I'm running away from the "First post problem"... you're right :D
